Lending A Hand To Charities In Troubling Times

When it comes to supporting charities, we are always keen to help.  From giving donations and providing raffle prizes, to supporting up and coming local artists, we support a wide range of worthwhile causes.  It's a pleasure to be able to celebrate the creativity of others and proudly display the work of new talented and aspiring artists in our London Showroom.  With the UK now battling the Coronavirus, it is time to give back once again to help those in need.
Supporting the British Red Cross Coronavirus Response
For over 150 years The British Red Cross has helped people in crisis and in these unprecedented times, their support with the Coronavirus is essential. We were keen to offer our own assistance, we felt this was a great charity to support, we choose to make a welcome donation from money raised during our Spring Sale.  This was given specifically to the Red Cross Coronavirus Fund, which in turn helps to support communities worst hit by the outbreak.
A Charitable Culture
We always ensure our products are produced responsibly and supporting charitable causes and our local community is very much at the heart of our company culture. Over the years we have supplied many prizes for raffles, lighting for charitable projects and donated profits to a wide range of worthwhile causes from mental health and cancer charities, through to helping local artists and working with local universities to provide Internships.  As Marketa Rycapek, MD at Industville comments, "We feel it's important to support the local community in which we operate and we will always support charities close to our heart, whenever we can. This is something that has been at the centre of our company since the very early days and continues to be an important part of our company culture today."
Other recent examples include giving lighting as raffle prizes to support both District Nurses in Wales and a Nottingham Charity Ball to support young children with cerebral palsy. Further prizes of lighting were also donated to support a large MacMillan Coffee Morning which takes place annually at a community centre in Birmingham.  With the support of companies like ours last year they managed to raise over £6,000, which all helps to aid people who are suffering through cancer and their families with nursing and support.
Supporting Local Artists
All of our products are designed and made by our own talented craftsmen, so it's easy to see why we love to support other creative minds.  This connection is clear from the moment you step inside our showroom, as Marketa explains, "We’ve been actively supporting local young artists and the creative community by devoting the walls of our showroom to displaying the artwork of these talented and aspiring artists. This not only gives them the opportunity to be recognised and rewarded for all their hard work, but also provides a platform for them to be appreciated and commissioned for future work.” Marketa continues, "We are dedicated to making an impact on the local community; we invite young creative people to participate in the photography space, which is built in our warehouse. We allow artists to experiment and showcase their wares, designs, wallpaper, paintings, ceramics and furniture, as part of a backdrop of the lifestyle imagery we use to promote our products. The imagery on display is then used as part of our marketing campaigns and publications, giving well-deserved recognition to the artists involved."
